Funny seeing you here! Let’s get into why you came…
My experience is in creating content with a focus on fashion, beauty, and popular culture.
I grew up in Saint Louis, Missouri where my parents raised me and my brothers with the philosophy, “Whatever you are, be a good one.” I took those words with me wherever I went: at the University of Missouri - Columbia, as I began my copywriting career in Southern California, and as I made the cross-country leap to New York City, where I currently reside.
By day, I am the lead copywriter on the SEO team at Macy’s, producing engaging copy that both customers and search engines (Hey, Google!) find useful. Hand-picked by upper management, I occasionally conceptualize new experiential campaigns which can entail everything from pop-up shops to in-store signage for brand launches.
By night, you can find me in my apartment writing editorial articles while old ’90’s sitcoms act as background noise. My work has appeared on digital platforms including ESSENCE, The Chill Times, EBONY, and Madame Noire. Through my freelance articles, I aim to highlight the stories of women artists and entrepreneurs, especially women of color.
